It’s that time of year when there are plenty of events being planned to aid in the transition of the Grade 8 students heading to Hants East in September and also to celebrate the three years, they have spent at REC.
Below, you will see a list of events and activities for the month of June.
HERH Visit
Students in classes 8-1 to 8-4 will be travelling to HERH on Monday, June 9th and students in 8-5 to 8-8 will be travelling to HERH on Tuesday, June 10th.
The students will be bussed over for the visit that will take just over an hour leaving REC at 9:15 am and returning at approximately 10:30 am.
They will have the opportunity to listen about life at HERH and take a quick tour of the building.
Grade 8 Breakfast
The last few years we started a tradition of providing a breakfast to the Grade 8 class.
Grade 8 teachers, along with other cafeteria and school staff members, will be making breakfast for the students on Tuesday, June 24th.
It’s a great way for students and staff to connect in a casual setting and reflect on some positive memories. The breakfast will be at 9:00 am in the cafeteria.
Grade 6 Celebration
The Grade 8 Dance will be taking place on Thursday, June 26th from 6:00-8:00pm. There will be pizza, frozen yogurt and water in the Cafeteria, and dancing in the Gym – free for all attending.
Family members are welcome to come and take pictures before students enter the school, but it will be students and staff only for the inside event.
More information will be given to grade 8 students this week for those who wish to invite a guest from another school or from Grade 6 or 7 at REC.
This time of year, is busy with the anticipation of what next year may bring, and the reflection of time spent at REC over the past 3 years.
We all hope that the last month is filled with positive experiences that create some great memories to last a lifetime.
