
When a specific bus is cancelled or delayed, BusPlanner will only message the students assigned to that bus route.
This change is a step forward to reduce the number of text notifications that do not apply to your family.
BusPlanner Alerts offers parents and guardians text and/or email messages for delayed or canceled buses specific to their child’s bus routes.
Signing up for BusPlanner Alerts
If you are new to BusPlanner, click here for instructions on how to activate your account.
If you already have a BusPlanner account, select your text/email preferences for BusPlanner Alerts by signing into your account at ccrce.mybusplanner.ca.
Select the notification options you would prefer to receive.
Here’s a step-by-step process to add BusPlanner Alerts:
- Log in to your Parent Portal account
- Navigate to "My Account" under the "Parent" drop-down menu at the top of the page
- Select "Mobile Numbers"
- Check the box "I want to receive text alerts".
- Enter your current and preferred mobile number(s)
- Click "Update" to save your changes.
Other Information
- School-based and CCRCE Updates: These messages come from PowerSchool/School Messenger and are based on the parent and guardian contact information.
- Inclement Weather Text Notifications: Both families and community members can sign up to receive text messages on school cancellations related to inclement weather. Sign up for this notification here: https://www.ccrce.ca/school_information/cancellations
