When you arrive to pick up your child during the school day, please come directly into the main office to sign them out. We will call your child down from class once you’re here.

Just a reminder that weather can be unpredictable this time of year and to make sure your child is dressed for the changing weather.

Friendly Reminder: Students need to bring water bottles to school.

Procedure for arriving late to school

Please refrain from texting or calling your child’s cell phone during the day. If it is an emergency to reach your child, please call the main office.

Please help us keep your children safe by following these important procedures with respect to picking your child up from school or dropping them off after school has already begun for the day.

When dropping items off for your child during the day (i.e., lunches, lunch money, clothing, etc), please ensure your child’s name is on the item for pick up from the main office.

Instructions on how to get notifications by text from REC & CCRCE

If there is a change to your child’s planned routine at the end of the day (they need to take the bus home or are being picked up instead of taking the bus, etc), please call the main office and speak to office staff prior to 2:00pm to be sure the message is relayed to your child before the end of the day.

When students are leaving during the school day, prior to dismissal at 2:25pm, parents/guardians must come into the Main Office to sign the child(ren) out.

You are asked to report your child’s absence in advance using any of these 3 convenient methods:

There is a change in the way bus notifications and alerts will be sent out. If your child takes the bus, please see this important notice or you may not receive busing

Ensure your child is prepared for outdoor activities and unpredictable weather by dressing appropriately and keeping a spare change of clothes in their locker.

Procedures for when school is closed in the middle of the day

All lost and found items are kept on a table in the Foyer until the last school day of the month.

Just a quick reminder for staff, students, parents/guardians and visitors of Riverside Education Centre, we are a Scent Free Building.

Students are reminded to bring their water bottle or a cup. Unfortunately, the school does not have bottles or cups available.

A Facebook group has been created to share resources, supports and activities that may be taking place in the community.
